Myself and a colleague, John Draycott from Holy Trinity here in St Helens spend much time drinking coffee and trying to help each other help our congregations get a grip on God and his world. Well, having being inspired by Tom Wright’s book, Surprised by Hope, we set about creating a course to make the material accessible to the poeple in our congregations.

After 12 months of lunchtime sessions and a surprisingly popular and successful first run, we decided to inflict our meanderings on the rest of the world. And so we hereby announce the launch of talk2.org.uk, and our totally FREE course material called Dying to Know.

It seems to work where we are but we would love to hear from people in different settings about how it works or doesn’t. We’d like it to grow as people make their own contributions to it. Our approach tries to hook into material in popular culture and so makes a lot of use of movie clips and music etc. Anyway, check out the website for more details.

In time we hope to produce other material, so watch this space…
