Holiday Snaps from my brush

I thought I would break the post-summer silence on my blog with a few snaps from my holidays. The only difference being these are of the painted type and not from my digital camera.

We were in South Wales for a couple of weeks over the summer break and I managed to squeeze in some painting time, in between playing cricket or body boarding with the kids.

With these paintings, I was trying a new type of acrylic paint and some primed mdf as the paint surface (also new to me). I think the board is much easier to paint than canvas. I find the grain of the canvas gets in the way of your brush strokes.

I keep a journal of my paintings on my painting blog.
