Paul commands members of the church in Thessalonica to “Stay in line” and stop taking advantage of the type of community that is being lived out. (2 Thess 3:6-18) Well that is at least Tom Wright’s translation of the word usually rendered “idle” or “disorderly”. What a mess it looks to those watching, when someone chooses to live by a different way and move out of line.
