A while back I highlighted a number of churches that are using WordPress and some of the reasons why WordPress is ideal for such applications. I have also developed a few themes some of which are designed specifically with churches in mind (this is an ongoing project). I’ve been amazed at how many people are using my themes. There is even a cathedral on the list!
So here are a few more churches that have picked up these themes and made their presence felt on the web.

Hi Tim,
I am equally impressed to see the St. Mary’s Cathedral site, for which I modified the LivingOS-Alpha design, in your latest post. Thanks!
Keep up the great work. I couldn’t agree more that there is something Gospel-like about open source. And I credit your Plogger Press plugin as well with getting the St. Mary’s Cathedral stained glass on-line and integrated with the website. This project has long been on my back-burner.
I encourage all to click on one of the four images in the right sidebar of the home page: http://stmaryscathedral.ca . All the best!
Jeff
As a geek that’s set up web sites and blogs, I just can’t recommend this solution highly enough. It’s the perfect combination of functionality and ease-of-use for keeping a church informed. Once it’s up, you don’t need a “technical expert” to run it and that’s probably one of its greatest strengths, that nearly anyone can operate it.
If you’re thinking about a basic web site for your church, select a provider that provides automatic installations of WP. (You’d be surprised how many there are for only a few dollars a month.) The WP support site provides easy steps for uploading this theme to your WP site, and with a minimal of effort you’re up and running. Very painless and cost effective.
Hope this helps.

What a great idea! Blog themes just for churches! I help many newbies get started and a few want help with their church or other charitable organization.
Thanks,,,
