BETA – A new WP theme

Here is another theme for WordPress I have been working on.

This is a 3-column layout with full sidebar widget support (so 2 customisable sidebars!).
beta

You can download it from my projects page along with other themes and plugins.

I really like this and the Alpha theme. Are they released under the GPL?

  2. tim says:

    Yes. Glad you like them.

  3. Tom says:

    Hey Tim,

Thanks for the theme! Can you tell me or better yet send me the font used in your “Living Open Source” logo (h1.jpg)?

  4. Ralph says:

    Hi Tim,

I love this theme. How would I make it wider? Something along the lines of 95% would be good.

  5. tim says:

Changing the width would need a new background image and changes to width of page if in the stylesheet.

  6. Ralph says:

Thanks, Tim – I will go attempt making it just a hair wider. :)

  7. Barbara says:

Compliments for this theme is beautiful!
I’ve just modified it for my blog but I can’t find the comments file that control the comments form render ?! I need it to install Grin Plugin ( to add smiles ) Thank You so much

  8. Rihanna says:

    Looks very nice.

  9. Mike says:

Do you have any suggestions for adding the suckerfish menu from Alpha to the top of Beta? I can get it to show up, but it messes up the center column as well as the sidebars.

  10. sindhu says:

am not a big fan of three column themes but i do like this one. lovely colors in here:)

  11. Amit Patel says:

The images in the right are giving me a lot of problems :(

  12. tim says:

What kind of problems? They are just thubnails from Plogger. If you are using plogger make sure your thumbnail size is small enough to fit in the sidebar. If you are not using Plogger – you won’t see any images!

  13. Beautiful theme. Was wondering what happened to my register and login links. They seem to disappear when I load your theme. Otherwise I love it!

  14. Very nice!!! Congratulations! I

  17. Excellent theme no problems with it whatsoever. The widgets are cool.

  18. Jeri says:

This theme is lovely and really unique. I’m a multi platform user and noted that it doesn’t seem to want to display correctly on any of them out of the box – could it be user error? I simply unzipped and uploaded.

IE for Windows comes the closest with the proper background image displaying, but column two displaying improperly aligned.

Mozilla for Windows or Mac, and Safari, don’t want to display the bgimage, which completely ruins the theme.

I don’t have my browsers set to that option – just to default. Any suggestions – have you run into this before? I am going to start working w/ the CSS, the bgimage and perhaps relevant bits of PHP in hopes of tracking down the issue.

New site (not working right) is at http://smugpuppies.com.

This theme has been going for quite a while. Its actually my most downloaded, but I’ve not come across any problems. Try re-downloading and installing. Sometimes files get messed up.

I am also having problems getting the background image to render in Safari. We are using this on a site and it looks great in Firefox but unreadable on Safari.
