Hi Tim, just come across your site - nice!!

After searching all the song files on my computer (and there are 1000's) I have to agree that ones directly about the resurrection are few and far between (maybe I should write one???)

Anyway did you consider songs like

'He has risen' (Gerald Coates, Noel Richards & Tricia Richards © 1993 Thankyou Music)

Christ is risen! (Chris Rolinson © 1989 Thankyou Music)

Oh God, Most High, Almighty King (Jamie Owens-Collins (c) 1991 Fairhill Music/Word Music UK)

These all have a truimphant ring about them.

For a bit more reflective song the Derby based band 'The Harbour Lights' have a song called 'Resurrection'

Thanks for these. I also have Hymns for Today's church on the shelf for such moments as this. I think Brian Wren's hymn is a great choice.

See What a Morning isn't bad either. I had looked at a few of Stuart Townsend's other hymns and most seemed to suffer the problems Tom Wright highlights with older hymns. This probably just stops short of this.

This is where 'real' hymn books score over 'song' books!! :-)

I quite like
BPW 244 'Christ is alive, let Christians sing' Brian Wren, and it's a well known hymn tune if that helps.

You could also try Iona and/or Kevin Mayhew resources which are usally pretty good in this respect
