Get some help with Church Marketing
Churches are generally terrible at marketing. It probably doesn’t matter as much as some suggest, but help can be found. If you are looking to improve your skills and get some valuable feedback on your work then you should join the Church Marketing Lab group on Flickr.
Started by the people behind Church Marketing Sucks, this is a very active group and a growing community of pro and novice graphic designers wanting to get the church communicating effectively in the modern world.
If you add your work to the group pool you can expect some informed and constructive criticism. Don’t post your work if you can’t take criticism though! There are some talented designers in this group who willing share their expertise in commenting on others work. Seeing what others are producing may also give some ideas of how you might better share the life of you church with the world.
For example, I posted my Lent is for Life graphic and within hours, the comments came back making me realise the first effort was really quite poor. (The final version probably isn’t perfect either).

You are invited to list your service in the Help A Church Directory at http://www.helpachurch.com.
I love the church marketing sucks blog & user group, and you are so right, churches do need serious help w/ marketing. Think that’s mostly because the church tends to appeal to certain personality types – that is changing, but slowly.
I’ve just launched a site that is aimed at helping churches and Christian ministries use technology better – http://www.communicatejesus.com.
