Five More WordPress-Driven Churches

Aug 7th, 2007 by Tim 5

My own list of WordPress driven churches has reached the lofty number of 123. So I thought I’d highlight five more great examples of churches using WordPress.

What counts is not how pretty it looks (though that does help a bit), but how by using a simple blogging tool like WordPress you open a window into your church community’s life. Some churches have resident geeks, while others are just users of the technology. It is the latter group who generally produce more useful content and WordPress makes that possible.

And while being pretty isn’t the most important element, I think Brea Baptist have done a particularly good job of customizing my UPSILON theme.

I so agree…the web designers from our olf church got so caught up in all the different “cool” features they can add to the site, that it’s impossible for the user to use. What’s more, it’s constantly under construction because they decide every couple months it’s not “cool enough.” LOL! The Brea Baptist site is awesome! Makes me wanna get connected, and I don’t even live there!

The Upsilon theme is working great for my dad’s church in San Diego. It was not too difficult to customize the theme and that’s always a plus.
