Staying On-Side - Praying the World Cup

OnsideI thought it was about time I mentioned the football. In case you hadn’t noticed the World Cup kicked off in Germany last Friday. England off to the usual shaky start, Brazil and France much the same. Will the home nation win it or will it be an outsider?

Do faith and football go together? The Anglican church have issued a prayer for our world cup team, but why not take the opportunity to pray for all the nations involved (you can do that even if your don’t like football!). Find out about them and focus your prayers on the nations as they play. BMS World Mission is a good place to start with their special OnSide World Cup feature.
